The First Line of Defence

Fully compliant Fire Extinguisher supply, commissioning, and maintenance. We ensure you have the Right Type, in the Right Place, ready for the First Response.

Ensuring you meet IS 291 Standards.
The Law (IS 291): Irish Standards require that all portable fire extinguishers be Commissioned on-site by a competent person before they are deemed "active."
The Risk: Simply hanging a unit you bought online without a commissioning tag means your insurance may be invalid, and you are non-compliant with the Fire Officer.
Our Service: We deliver, we inspect, we tag, and we issue the Certificate of Commissioning all in one visit.

Don't Fight an Electrical Fire with Water.
Selection is critical. We survey your building to ensure the right agent covers the right risk.

Water & Foam (Class A & B)
The Office Standard. For paper, wood, cardboard, and textiles. Note: We supply new "Eco-Foam" units that are PFAS-free and environmentally responsible.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) (Class E)
The Electrical Specialist. Essential for server rooms, offices, and near electrical equipment. Safe on live electrics and leaves zero residue/mess.

Dry Powder (Multi-Purpose)
The Industrial Choice. For garage forecourts, boiler rooms, and vehicles. Warning: Not recommended for indoor use due to visual obscuration and mess.

Wet Chemical (Class F)
The Kitchen Essential. The only extinguisher capable of tackling deep fat fryer fires. A legal requirement for all commercial kitchens.

Extinguishers lose pressure. O-rings perish. Contents settle.

Annual Service: We visit your premises once a year to weigh, check, and tag every unit.
Discharge Testing: Under IS 291, a percentage of your units must be test-discharged and refilled periodically (Extended Service) to prove they actually work.
Asset Register: We create a digital inventory of every extinguisher location, so you never lose track of your assets.

Regular maintenance of fire extinguishers is essential to ensure they will work effectively when needed in an emergency. Over time, extinguishers can lose pressure, become damaged, or have blocked nozzles, making them unreliable when needed most. Annual servicing checks that each unit is correctly charged, accessible, and suitable for the risks present, while also keeping organisations compliant with Irish fire safety regulations. Proper maintenance provides peace of mind that critical equipment will perform when it matters.

We Provide On-site "Fire Warden" training courses where your staff get to physically discharge a real extinguisher on a controlled fire.

Staff training in the use of fire extinguishers is vital to ensuring a safe and effective response during an emergency. Even the best equipment is only useful if people know how to operate it correctly and confidently. Training helps staff identify the right type of extinguisher for different fires, understand safe operating techniques, and avoid unnecessary risks. It also builds awareness of when to tackle a fire and when to evacuate, reducing panic and improving overall workplace safety. By investing in regular, practical training, organisations not only comply with Irish fire safety regulations but also empower staff to act quickly and responsibly in critical situations.

"During a small electrical fire in our server room, the CO2 extinguisher was right where GME had recommended it be located. It worked instantly, and we didn't lose a single server. Having GME specify the right product for the right application and having them take care of maintenance, ensured that we enjoyed a good outcome ina difficult situation" — IT Manager, Sandyford Industrial Estate
